How amazing it is to be surrounded by friends, fellow artists and new acquaintances…
Last week was the opening of my show “Before, During & After” at First Street Gallery & Custom Framing in Encinitas… and boy did we have a great time! It was so fun getting to celebrate the completion of my journey in Morocco.
If you weren’t able to make it to the opening, don’t worry because the show will be on display until May 5, 2017.
This exhibit, a year in the making, represents the preparation, journey and unpacking of my artist residency in Morocco. It is a love letter to the colors, textures, smells, tastes and people of this amazing place—all of them having a profound effect on me and my artwork. Pieces include a Japanese stab binding Artist Book, leather tote bags made with a Moroccan leather artisan and mixed media pieces.
